Fundraising total for 2019

The final fundraising amount was over £4800 which allowed us to make a generous donation of almost £500 to FIND (Families in Need Ipswich).

This amount of fundraising makes a real difference to a small village like Flowton and where essential repairs are required to our only community building.

Thank you for supporting us.

Thank you for coming…

Well, what a fantastic weekend we had at the Flowton in Flower event. The sun shone, it didn’t rain for a change and we were inundated with visitors. Over 500 tickets were sold, with many people coming both days over the weekend.

The military vehicle display and the Gate Farm egg demonstrations drew the crowds, as did the flower festival and local history exhibition in the church. We made and served almost 350 ploughman’s lunches and cream teas and served gallons of tea!

And we loved having you all! This website has been updated with many of the pictures of the weekend and the flowers so do take a look.

A thank you to Flowton itself

To all our residents and those who so graciously put their gardens on display for our guests to visit, to the flower arrangers, to the refreshment team, our chief sign man, the church team and all the volunteers – thank you for all your hard work over the coming months and this weekend.

We couldn’t have done it without you.

Thank you.
