We are delighted to welcome Shrubland Park Nurseries to our Flowton in Flower event in June 2019. They will be selling some of their amazing plants from the churchyard, close to the refreshments!

As we welcome in 2019, the preparations for the Flowton in Flower event being held on 22nd/23rd June this summer are in progress.

Get in touch with Rob or Debbie Clements in the village or email flowton.suffolk@gmail.com if you are interested in helping, or visiting.

Thank you for visiting our 2015 Open Gardens

Thank you to all our visitors this weekend. We hope you had a lovely time in our amazing little village and our gardens. The weather wasn’t on our side but you came out regardless.

We’d love to see you in four years time.

Keep up to date with photos and the follow-up publicity on our Facebook page Facebook.com/Flowton.suffolk or on our twitter feed @flowtonsuffolk
We also have our village website www.flowton.org.uk

THANK YOU! (2015 event)

A massive thank you to all who helped and supported the Open Gardens and Flower Festival this weekend. Everything went so well, from the signs (especially the ‘You’re nearly there’ one), our hardworking catering team (and their washer-uppers), the team that manned the Church, our popular local historians, the bottle tombola team of wrappers and sellers, the gardeners and families, and our amazing florists. Thank you also to everyone who lent props for the flower displays, marquees, tables, chairs, bins and tablecloths! We couldn’t have done it without all of you.

I apologise if I have missed anyone. Such a great community team, I am proud to be part of our amazing village of Flowton….

Plant sales, 2015

Most of our plant sales will be at Riversdale where homegrown plants from Flowton residents will be on sale. Some other gardens will be selling plants as well.

Priory Plants of Hintlesham have a stall at Flowton Hall and will be selling their plants. Plenty of parking is available at the Hall.

Refreshments available

During the Open Gardens and Flower Festival we will be selling Ploughman’s Lunches in the Churchyard between 12noon and 2pm (in a marquee in case of inclement weather!). This includes a ham or cheese roll, salad, mayonnaise and a drink for only £3. Tea and coffee is also available separately.

Church Cottage is hosting the cream teas between 3pm and 5pm – a traditional scone with jam, cream and butter, and tea or coffee. In previous years we have sold out, especially if the weather is good, so come early!

Jams, Preserves and Quilting

Susan Skinner of Riversdale will be selling her homemade jams and preserves during the Open Gardens. These are all from the fruits she grows in her garden and are absolutely delicious (I have sampled several!). She is also a dab hand at quilting and is selling her handmade quilted boxes. She will also be taking orders for these if she runs out which is highly likely.
