The interior of this beautiful little 14th century church will be decorated with flowers in every corner to the theme “The Four Seasons”. As you move around the church you will pass through the changing seasons.

Starting with Spring you may expect to see depictions of new birth, of lambs and chicks, as well as themes glorifying Easter & the tradition of the maypole.

Summer may bring you holidays at home or abroad, together with flowers in hot summer colours. The inner man (or woman) will not be overlooked with portrayal of picnics and barbeques. And, of course, what would summer be without Wimbledon, with its tennis and strawberries.

Autumn brings its mellow fruitfulness: the harvest; falling leaves & dried leaves still hanging on; garden implements; preserves of the fruit of autumn; and as the days draw in, bonfire night and fireworks.

And finally to winter, depicted as we rarely see it nowadays: a snowman in a snow scene, snowflakes floating down; and of course the grand finale – Christmas.

And you can start the cycle all over again – or better still go and inspect the other attractions on display: wildlife photographs, local history and dolls house exhibitions, and a home-made quilt display.

Whether you circulate with the seasons or dwell on the other attractions – or do neither of these – we think that you will enjoy the church anyway for its own sake. Please relax, inside or out, for as long as you like.
