Flowton Open Gardens and Flower Festival weekend will get off to a flying start with a Concert and Cheese and Wine event on the evening of Friday 16 June at 8 pm in St. Mary's church, Flowton. The programme will include songs from the shows, madrigals, spirituals and folk music.

The performers are ‘Serendipity'. This group of singers came into being a little over two years ago as an offshoot of the Hadleigh Choral Society and they have already made an excellent reputation for themselves. They give several concerts each year for charities and other fund raising events. Conducted by Nansi Browne, their range covers a wide variety of music, both sacred and secular, encompassing madrigals, show songs, anthems, spirituals, folk songs and part songs. Serendipity is also available to sing for weddings for a modest fee.

They are much in demand and we are extremely pleased to be welcoming them to open our floral weekend. We look forward to a perfect evening – the church filled with fragrant flowers and melodious songs, and afterwards in the beautiful churchyard as the sun goes down, a delicious supper of cheese and wine. And a raffle with many worthwhile prizes.
